Under the Sea

This week we have continued with our topic, this is Under the Sea and our story Hooray for Fish. We created dances and movements to the piece of music Carnival of the Animals – Aquarium.

In Maths, we have been looking at counting out a group of objects. We had to count and match the number of fish in the ocean to the number and count out the correct number of spots on the fish, some children then counted two groups of objects to see how many altogether. As well as playing number and numicon bingo and singing our ‘show me …’ song.

In phonics we learnt the ‘ng’ sound. We looked at words with x in and Fred talked them then blended them. We played sound hunt and built a rocket by fred talking words.

Next week we will continue looking at the topic Under the Sea and our focus book Hooray For Fish.
