Happy half term!

Posted by Miss Ward | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 27-10-2017

This week has been our final week of a brilliant half term. We are very proud of the start Owls have made to the school year and the learning that has taken place has been fantastic.

In our final week we continued with our Superhero topic and beginning to complete challenges.
In Literacy and topic we have practiced talking in sentences. We have made a Wanted Poster for Romeo, given ourselves Superhero names and powers and followed clues to get Rosie and Raul back.
In Maths, we looked at 2D shapes around us. Romeo had stolen some shapes from pictures and we had to use playdough and 2D shapes to put the pictures back together.
In Phonics, we have been continuing to practise our listening skills. We have looked at developing our awareness of sounds by creating voice sounds. We sang some songs and played games with voice sounds.
During choosing time, children have chosen from activities such as making pictures using tap a shape boards, using the play dough to make shapes, playing in the texture kitchen and making capes.

BLP Learning Heroes

This week our BLP heroes are Jax (am) for making links in Maths , and Zayn (pm), for his positive attitude to learning . We can’t wait to here what exciting things you have been up to with Ollie Owl over he . We also have Esme who reached the Extraordinary Zone! We have had no children complete the Super learning hero challenges this week. We had our Gold Card assembly, where the winners were Katie and Daisy. They got this for following our school rules. Well done! We are very proud of you.
